Daniel L. Blitzer, IES, LC
Dan Blitzer has extensive experience in lighting education, marketing and sales. Mr. Blitzer edited the last two editions of ALA's Residential Lighting Training Manual and developed ALA's online training Program. He has also written numerous publications for Lightolier and Phillips Lighting and was the script developer for Lightolier's "Designing with Light" television series. Dan spent 14 years with Lightolier in various sales and marketing capacities, and currently heads his own New York based consulting practice, Contract Marketing.

Joseph A. Rey-Barreau, AIA, IES, CSI
Joseph Rey-Barreau is an architect, lighting designer and an award-winning, tenured professor at the University of Kentucky in the school of Interior Design. His courses provide lighting industry management and sales personnel techniques to improve their skills in the workplace.

Norman R. Brown, CLC
Norm Brown is a Certified Lighting Consultant and serves as a key member of ALA's Certification Committee. As general manager of Norburn Lighting & Bath in Burnaby, B.C., Mr. Brown oversees sales and design training companywide. He has more than 25 years of residential and commercial lighting design experience, and is recognized for expertise and designs by leading lighting manufacturers in North America.

Stanley Johnston, CLC, CLMR
Stanley Johnston is president of Johnston Lighting Associates and is a Certified Lighting Consultant. He has extensive experience teaching the Residential Lighting Training Course, and played a key role in the development of the Residential Lighting Training Manual.

Robert G. Davis, Ph.D.
Bob Davis joined Litecontrol in 2007 as the director of product management. Prior to that, he spent nine years as a senior instructor in architectural engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he taught courses in lighting design and engineering. His experience also includes positions at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Lighting Research Center and at Sylvania Lighting.

Jim McCarthy, CLC, LC
Jim McCarthy is a senior market specialist for the SOURCE, Cooper Lighting's education center in Peachtree City, Ga., and a strong supporter of the ALA educational programs, serving as a CLC exam grader since 2002 and a seminar instructor since 2007. His work on the ALA Editing Task Force helped make both the revised ALA Residential Lighting Training Manual in 2006 and the Certificate Specialist program in 2008 a reality.
