Showroom Performance and Profitability Report

Each year, the American Lighting Association commissions the Profit Planning Group to analyze showroom members’ financial information to produce a valuable Performance and Profitability Report, which is the best source for financial benchmarking in the lighting industry. To ensure that you reach your full potential, you need some realistic financial benchmarks.

The Showroom Performance and Profitability Report provides data for more than 100 different measures that affect profitability, ranging from sales per employee to inventory turnover to gross margin as a percent of sales.  Each of these measures is accompanied by a thorough description, explaining its importance to your business. 

Using this data, you can determine the best course of action to improve your bottom line.  The information in the report — on gross margin, operating expenses, average collection period and the like — is arranged to provide direct comparisons with your firm. However, the information is available only to those firms that participate in the study.

In return for participation, showrooms receive copies of the aggregate report, along with comparisons to their own data.
