Certificate Specialist Monographs

The certificate specialist monographs are the training materials for the ALA's Certificate Specialist training program. These advanced course books allow members who have earned their Lighting Specialist or Certified Lighting Consultant designation to gain further specialization in the following areas of lighting:
- Advanced Kitchen and Bath Lighting
- Advanced Recessed and Track Lighting
Each self-study, hard-copy course monograph includes an exam which must be passed before a member earns the right to be called a Kitchen and Bath Lighting Specialist or Recessed and Track Lighting Specialist.
Additional specialization topics will be introduced over time, starting with Advanced Lamps and Light Sources later in 2010.
