2012 Action Agenda
Visionary leadership, high member involvement, vital committees and a hardworking staff have made the American Lighting Association dynamic and successful.
 
We are committed to ensuring that the ALA continues to be your association and the associa­tion you can count on in 2012 and beyond.
 
To that end, we approach 2012 with VALUE as our goal.
 
To provide VALUE to our members and strengthen bottom lines, the ALA will use its BiNational Advertising and Public Relations Program to expand consumers' and interior designers' interest in lighting by delivering more than 65,000 qualified sales leads to local showrooms and generating 250 million consumer impressions.
 
To enhance the VALUE of the lighting industry, the ALA will be alert to and act on federal and state/provincial leg­islative and regulatory issues affecting the industry and partner with allied industry groups to enhance the association's clout.  
 
To help members' businesses provide VALUE to their customers, the ALA will provide current and relevant training, includ­ing sales, management and internet marketing courses.
 
To strengthen the VALUE of the association, the ALA will grow by expanding membership ranks within exist­ing categories and exploring the addition of new membership categories.
 
We have outlined our goals and objectives in this publication as a roadmap to lead the industry toward greater VALUE. Your support will help ensure we are successful.
